The Town of Beausejour is situated 46 km East of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on PTH #44 and is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Brokenhead. The Town of Beausejour is in the forefront of commercial and industrial expansion in Eastern Manitoba and is also the gateway to the Whiteshell - some of Manitoba's best vacation lands. Its proximity to the beaches and to work centers like Winnipeg, have led many to consider Beausejour the perfect town to settle in. Over 2700 people currently reside in Beausejour.

The Town of Beausejour is a progressive community and is the regional centre for a number of provincial government departments. Over the years, tourism has become an increasingly important economic tool for the community. One of the reasons for this is the town's placement at the crossroads of the major traffic routes in the area, namely PTH #12 and #44 as well as PR #302 and #215. A map of the town is also available for viewing.

A state of the art racetrack is located in their community, bringing jet ski and snowmobile racing along with the Double B Rodeo to Eastern Manitoba. The Canadian Power Toboggan Championships Raceplex is also home to many special events, from turf drags to outdoor concerts.

Because Beausejour has always had a strong agricultural base the Beausejour and District Agricultural Fair has been showcasing rural lifestyles and products for over 60 years. The Winter Farewell Festival is held in February, with pancake breakfasts, family fun events and oval snowmobile racing.

The site of the first glass container factory in Western Canada, the Manitoba Glass Works Historic Site, is located on the outskirts of Beausejour. Open from 1906 to 1914, it employed up to 350 workers at its peak. Visitors may see the ruins of the plant and can also visit the nearby Chryplywy Nature Park.

The Broken-Beau Pioneer Village Museum is a pioneer complex that is open in July and August. For a slice of life from an earlier and simpler time, don't hesitate to visit this interesting site.

The Splash Regional Aquatic Pool provides the opportunity to swim in a controlled water climate or receive instructions from the Red Cross. It's a perfect place for family outings and group events.

Facilities and services have been established, in Beausejour, to enhance the quality of life in the community Including the Brokenhead River Recreational Complex which can accommodate up to 900 people. Amenities include a curling rink, arena and softball complex. Also, located in the town of Beausejour is the Brokenhead River Regional Library.
