ST. MICHEAL'S BELL TOWER

St. Michael's Bell Tower, constructed in 1926, is all that remains on the site of the former St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church. The first church was designed by Walter Prychun. It was constructed in 1916 at a cost of $750.00 and was completed in 1935. The second church, which was of a unique design, was constructed in 1963 under the direction of Father Matt Kotowich. He served the church faithfully until the early 1970's and was succeeded by Father Iwanchuk and Father Wach. The last service was conducted in 1990 by Father Walter Klimchuk (a former Tyndall resident). Shortly after, St. Michael's Church was removed to make way for the twinning of Highway #44.
