AMENITIES
BEACH
Located along the shores of the Winnipeg River, the beach features fresh
water, gorgeous sunsets, clean sand and an ever expanding play structure
for the kids.

There is a heated outdoor swimming pool and a wading pool located in the
community. It is located adjacent to the beach and they both have lifeguards

MARINA
There is one main marina as
well as 2 boat launches for motor boats. There is also guest marina
parking available, making Pinawa easily accessible for tourists by boats.
PLAYGROUNDS
There are 13 playgrounds located
throughout the town. Most are only accessible by trail.
TRAILS
The trails in the area can be used for skiing, hiking snowmobiling
and cycling. The Ironwood Interpretive Trail follows the Winnipeg
River through the rare 'Ironwood' trees in which it is named after. It
is wheelchair accessible and has picnic tables and benches located throughout
the trail. Winding through Pinawa is
a portion of the Trans Canada Trail called the Boreal Shield.
You will find various places of interest along the trail, including
the Pinawa Suspension Bridge and the Old Pinawa Dam. Maps are available

The close proximity to Whiteshell
Provincial Park brings unlimited access to trails that can be used for almost
anything.
PUBLIC LIBRARY
Pinawa features a fully computerized
and functional library with books, magazines, videos and newspapers among

PINAWA CLUB
The Pinawa Club offers everything
a community needs for recreation all under one roof; curling, golf, tennis,
and bridge.
Curling - The curling club features 4 sheets of artificial ice
plus a restaurant/bar and a viewing area. They host many tournaments
throughout the year.
Golf - The golf course is an 18 hole public course that is becoming
more popular each season.
Tennis - The Tennis club features 3 lit hard courts which can be
used by both members and non-members.
Bridge - The Bridge Club meets every monday in the curling club.
Restaurant - It features fully licensed facilities with a full
meal menu and the ability to cater to tournament needs.

PINAWA ARENA
The arena has both indoor and
outdoor rinks that are used for figure skating, CanSkate, ringette, hockey

ATHLETIC FACILITIES
There are 4 baseball diamonds, 2 soccer fields, basketball courts,
plus an athletic track located in the community. There is an archery
and rifle range located just outside of Pinawa
WATER ACTIVITIES
There are
various water sports that take place in Pinawa including sailing, canoeing,
boating and fishing. Both the Winnipeg River and the Pinawa Channel provide
excellent areas for fishing but they also provide excellent access to some
of the best fishing grounds in Manitoba which are located in the Whiteshell
area. There is a huge number of lakes, ponds, rivers and streams that
allow enthusiasts of many kinds to live out their passion. For more
