This runner (turbine blade) is from the Seven Sisters Hydro Dam. It is ironic that when this runner (unit #4) was put into operation, the Pinawa dam was forced to close.

commerates the first hydro-electric plant on the Winnipeg River.

The Pinawa Dam was also Manitoba's first year-round electrical generating station.
