BELIEFS Many of us spend our lives creating and listening to negative voices. Where do they come from? Do they sustain us? What is your belief system? Which beliefs and values don't fit into your life yet you continue to listen to them? Here are a few questions to ask yourself that may help you create positive beliefs. 1. Do your beliefs give you strength during illness? If not are you ready to find ones that do? 2. In a health crisis what role does intuition play? 3. How far would you go to trust it? 4. How do you treat yourself when you do something that you have been "taught" to do differently? 5. Are you self-critical? 6. Do you believe that love can heal? 7. Do you believe that humour can heal? 8. Are you willing to put the last two statements too the test? Embrace a positive belief system. Someone once told me that if I wasn't willing to stand up in public to defend a belief I really didn't believe it and I needed to examine where it fit in my life. So examine all your beliefs and values. Listen to what they say and what they mean to you. How do they fit into your life? Do you embrace them or do they make you cringe? Remove the ones that no longer bring you joy. This will bring you a deeper appreciation of a world where positive beliefs, emotions and actions are prime factors in living a beautiful life.
